One of the newest trends in green building Materials!
Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) is an engineered wood product fabricated by bonding solid-sawn timber together in transverse and longitudinal layers with structural adhesives to produce thick timber panels, with the other product shaped into a wood column, also known as a Glue laminated timber (Glulam)Resulted in a product that when compared with steel and concrete, provides similar strength & stiffness, improved fire performance, health, economic and an abundance of sustainability benefits.

Advantages using wood
Why wood is the best material you could choose!
- Good seismic behaviour
- Simplicity of design
- Buildings with multiple floors
- Excellent weight/performance ratio (light)
- Low production cost
- Excellent energy performance
- Insulating and hygroscopic(breathable)
- High degree of prefabrication
- Dry technologies (speed of execution)
- Reduced construction times
- Natural and renewable
- No waste stuff
- Durable (if made in a workmanlike manner)
Advantages using wood
Higher fire resistance than Concrete & Steel!
Fire safety is a key concern with wooden buildings, but CLT stands as a safer option than concrete. In case of fire exposure, CLT ignites and burns inwards at a consistent pace due to its char layer’s insulating properties.
This slow progression prevents rapid structural failure. Heat transfer primarily occurs through fire gas diffusion, maintaining controlled temperature rise. We can anticipate fire behavior in CLT homes, predict load-bearing capacity, and if extinguished within time limits, easily replace charred layers. Unlike concrete, CLT enables cost-effective post-fire restoration without total demolition.
Advantages using wood
Higher fire resistance than Concrete & Steel!
Fire resistance Lab test result from PUPR
A major advantage of CLT is its inherent fire resistance, unlike steel, it remains structurally stable when subjected to high temperatures. Depending on the CLT panel thickness and on the heat source CLT panels maintain the strength for sufficient time.
Advantages using wood
Proven strength and stiffness
Mor & MoE Lab test result from University Gadjah Mada & University Sebelas Maret
We have a lab-tested research CLT panel and come up with an astonishing result! CLT has a high strength-to-weight ratio. Under normal conditions, the panel will return to its original shape (MoE) and have high rupturing resistance (MoR).
